About AyoKoding

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

Welcome to AyoKoding! I’m Yoka, the passionate software engineer and creator of this platform. AyoKoding was born from “learning in public,” emphasizing the importance of sharing knowledge, ideas, and experiences with the world as we continuously learn and grow. By doing so, we can receive others’ feedback, support, and constructive criticism, propelling our improvement and development as software engineers.

At AyoKoding, I strive to share my learning journey and create a space where we can all contribute valuable insights, ultimately benefiting from one another’s knowledge and experiences to become better software engineers. My dedication to giving back to the community has driven me to provide helpful information on various topics related to software engineering.

Explore a range of topics on AyoKoding, from the life of a programmer and software engineering principles to working in tech companies and tips for enhancing your software engineering skills. I hope that my content inspires and offers valuable insights to our readers.

The Connection to Open Sharia Enterprise

AyoKoding has a unique relationship with a project I’m actively building: Open Sharia Enterprise - a Sharia-compliant enterprise platform that I’m developing as an open-source project with full transparency.

Why does this matter to you as a reader?

Content grounded in real problems. Everything I write on AyoKoding doesn’t come from theoretical exercises or made-up tutorials. This content emerges from the experience of building an actual enterprise system - complete with complex architecture, carefully considered technology decisions, and real problems that demand practical solutions.

Learning that’s practical and battle-tested. When I share about microservices, event-driven architecture, or domain-driven design, these insights come from active implementation in Open Sharia Enterprise. Not just theory from books or articles - but knowledge that has gone through iterations, debugging sessions, and learning from real mistakes.

Transparency and knowledge sharing. By building Open Sharia Enterprise as open-source and documenting the process on AyoKoding, I can:

  • Force myself to think and write clearly - because if I don’t understand something deeply, I can’t explain it well
  • Share architectural decisions along with the reasoning behind them, not just the final results
  • Make enterprise system development knowledge accessible to anyone interested, not just those working in large tech companies

This creates a win-win situation: the Open Sharia Enterprise project benefits from clear documentation and structured thinking, while the community gains access to practical knowledge that’s usually locked inside engineering teams at big companies.

So when you read articles on AyoKoding about system design, architectural patterns, or best practices - know that they come from the real struggle of building something complex, not just theoretical knowledge.
